About the Accommodations:

The accommodations advertised with the Skeptic's Toolbox workshop are student dormitories called "residence halls." Each room comes with one or two twin-sized beds, closet space, and a small desk with chair and telephone. The rooms are comfortable, with additional bedding available. There are windows in each room but no air conditioning.

There is usually one bathroom on the ground floor, with several stalls and a separate area for showers, again with several stalls. On the second and third floors there are two bathroom areas and two shower areas.

We will be assigning each floor to either couples, men only or women only.

For additional information on the accommodations, please visit the University of Oregon web site at http://housing.uoregon.edu/

If you are interested in staying at a nearby hotel or motel, please visit the Visitor's Center for Eugene online at: http://www.cvalco.org/ (this link takes you directly to the hotel/motel lodging list.)

With the commuter pass, all of your meals for the Toolbox are included. With the exception of the Saturday evening banquet, meals will be at the Carson Dining Hall.

Numerous menu items are offered at each meal, always with a large selection of healthy items, in addition to a variety of beverages, condiments, and spices. Meatless entrées are provided daily at breakfast, lunch, and dinner with fresh vegetables and fruits, legumes, rice, an extensive salad bar, juices, and whole grain breads. Extensive salad, sandwich, cereal, and dessert bars are also part of the daily dining center experience.

About Internet Access:

The dorm rooms are equipped with ethernet connections. You can also dial into your local access number with your personal laptop. Another option to access the Internet is to use the library facilities that are available on campus.
